Pro Tips

We want your edge to last! Here are some care tips to help.

  • Hand wash your knives. Jostling around in the dishwasher is an efficient way to blunt your edge.
  • Avoid storing your knives loose in a drawer. A knife block or magnetic strip is a better option.
  • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as glass or marble. A wood cutting board, particularly end grain boards work best to protect your edge.
  • A knife is a cutting tool, not a multi tool. Avoid the urge to use it as a screw driver, pry bar or something that is not intended to do.
  • Use the right knife for the right job. Use heavy blades for heavy work like chopping bones and frozen food. Use lighter/thinner blades for precise work like chopping veggies.
